[ES] En este artículo se habla de Miguel de Unamuno en su faceta de estudioso de la lengua. Desde joven sintió atracción por diferentes lenguas, pero incidió principalmente en la castellana. La primera parte es más general y trata sobre la lingüística en general, sus problemas, el origen del lenguaje y su relación con la sociedad. La segunda parte tiene como objeto propio la teoría unamuniana de la lengua española, su ideología respecto al vocabulario español y una visión superficial y apresurada sobre temas de estilo y de retórica en cuanto están influídos en Unamuno por las cuestiones de lengua.; [EN] This article treats on Miguel de Unamuno in his expert's facet of the language. Since his youth, he felt attraction to different languages, but affected mainly in the Castilian language. The first part is more general and treats on the linguistics in general, its problems, the origin of the language and its relation with the society. The second part takes the theory of Unamuno as an own object of the Spanish language, his ideology with regard to the Spanish vocabulary and a vision superficial and hasty on issues of style and rhetoric as being influenced by Unamuno in matters of language.
