¿Dos izquierdas en América Latina? Un análisis desde las percepciones de sus legisladores

Abstract

[ES] Una de las discusiones más interesantes que se han dado en la región en la última década tiene que ver, precisamente, con la existencia de al menos dos izquierdas. De esta forma, algunos autores (Castañeda, 2006; Cleary, 2006; Panizza, 2006; Paramio, 2006; Roberts, 2006; Corrales, 2007; De la Torre, 2007; Alcántara, 2008) distinguen una izquierda de rasgos nacional-populares, representada por líderes como Hugo Chávez, Néstor Kirchner, Evo Morales, Rafael Correa, Daniel Ortega, Ollanta Humala, o López Obrador –si bien estos dos últimos no han llegado a la presidencia de la República-, y otra de corte más socialdemócrata (también denominada socialdemocrática o institucionalista: Lanzaro, 2008), tipificada en los gobiernos de Lula da Silva, Michelle Bachelet, Álvaro Colom, Mauricio Funes o Tabaré Vázquez. El objetivo de este trabajo es explorar las percepciones de los diputados latinoamericanos electos entre 2006 y 2010, autoubicados en partidos de izquierda y que ubican a su partido en el mismo espectro, acerca de algunos ítems recogidos en el Proyecto Élites Parlamentarias Latinoamericanas (PELA) de la Universidad de Salamanca, con la intención de analizar en qué medida puede identificarse la presencia de diferentes tipos de izquierdas en la región

[EN] One of the most interesting discussions that have occurred in the region over the last decade has to do precisely with the existence of at least two left. Thus, some authors (Castañeda, 2006; Cleary, 2006; Panizza, 2006; Paramio, 2006; Roberts, 2006, Corrales, 2007, De la Torre, 2007; Alcántara, 2008) distinguish a left national-popular features, represented by leaders like Hugo Chavez, Nestor Kirchner, Evo Morales, Rafael Correa, Daniel Ortega, Ollanta Humala, or Lopez Obrador, although the latter two have not reached the presidency of the republic, and another of a more social (also called social-democratic or institutional Lanzaro, 2008), typified by the governments of Lula da Silva, Michelle Bachelet, Álvaro Colom, Mauricio Funes or Vazquez. The aim of this paper is to explore the perceptions of American deputies elected between 2006 and 2010, left parties place themselves in that place and his party in the same spectrum on some items contained in the Latin American Parliamentary Elites Project (PELA) of the University of Salamanca, with the intent to analyze to what extent can identify the presence of different types of lefts in the region
