Abstract

[EN] Magic lantern projections have been the subject of little serious study and have only merited a few epigraphs in general reference books about the history of the media and communication, or an occasional reference in volumes on art history or contemporary history. The goal of this article is to elaborate a brief “state of the question” of the magic lantern in order for it to emerge as an object of scientific study in the area of communication studies.
