Abstract

[ES] Este ensayo muestra la trayectoria de las mujeres afroamericanas en las artes escénicas desde sus comienzos a la actualidad en Estados Unidos. Estas artistas demostraron estar por delante de su tiempo, pues han continuado experimentando siempre con nuevos estilos y técnicas totalmente vanguardistas compuestas por elementos que eran parte de la cultura afroamericana a la que pertenecían. [EN] This essay shows the trajectory followed by African American women in the performing arts from its origins till the present in the United States. These women artists proved to be ahead of their time, since they have kept always experimenting with new avant-garde styles and techniques composed by elements that were part of the African American culture they belonged to.
