[ES] El artista cacereño Fernando Mayoral ha experimentado a lo largo de su amplia trayectoria con toda clase de tendencias, motivos e inspiraciones plásticas. Pintor por vocación y escultor de oficio, su quehacer en este último ámbito le ha otorgado popularidad y éxito crítico, contribuyendo a definir una carrera multifacética que encuentra en el modelado y en la talla algunas de sus fundamentales razones de ser. Dentro de estos campos la plástica escultórica religiosa se ha evidenciado siempre presente, no de modo masivo o exclusivo pero sí con el suficiente alcance como para poder considerarla un personal e interesante núcleo de trabajo del camino creativo de su autor. [EN] Fernando Mayoral has experienced throughout his long career all kinds of trends, patterns, inspirations and plastic manifestations. Vocational painter and sculptor by trade, his works in the latter aspect have given him popular and critical success, helping to establish a multifaceted career that has found in the modeling one of its fundamental raison d’être. Within this field, the religious sculpture has always been there, not on a massive or exclusive way but with enough poise to consider it one of the most personal, interesting and creative work areas of the remarkable way of this author. The most outstanding manifestations of this genre are the focus of the article.
