Textos como los del llamado Me‘am lo‘e? clásico, aparecidos en Constantinopla en el siglo XVIII (Génesis 1730, Éxodo 1733-1746, Levítico 1753, Números 1764 y Deuteronomio 1773-1777), exhiben ya una madura prosa judeoespañola que, aunque bebe en el hebreo de las fuentes literarias que maneja, muestra procesos propios de raíz hispánica en la evolución morfosintáctica, que prueban el alejamiento de la variedad sefardí respecto del español estándar del momento. En este trabajo analizaremos hasta qué punto dichas transformaciones, a veces solo apuntadas en la literatura sefardí del s. XVIII, el «Siglo del Oro» del judeoespañol, han triunfado o no en el judeoespañol de los siglos XIX y XX, con especial atención a los géneros literarios de adopción moderna (novela, prensa, etc.) alejados de la tradición de la prosa rabínica.
Texts like the so-called classical Me‘am lo‘e?, published in Constantinople in the 18th century (Genesis 1720, Exodus 1733-1746, Leviticus 1753, Numbers 1764 and Deutoronomy 1773-1777), already exhibit a mature Judeo-Spanish prose which, though influenced by Hebrew literary sources, shows processes of morphosyntactical evolution of its own which are rooted in Spanish and at the same time are proof of the drift away from the standard Spanish of the time that the Sephardic variety underwent . In this work we analyse how such transformations, sometimes only just starting in the Sephardic literature of the 18th century, the «Golden Age» of Judeo-Spanish, have developed or not in the Judeo-Spanish of the 19th and 20th centuries, paying special attention to those literary genres of modern adoption (novel, press, etc.), which have grown apart from the rabbinical prose tradition.
