Invención, difusión y recepción de la literatura popular impresa (Siglo XVI)

Abstract

[ES]En este libro, el Prof. Cátedra estudia las variadas manifestaciones de la literatura de cordel durante el siglo XVI desde una perspectiva innovadora y con una amplia documentación inédita. Se investigan y se explican los mecanismos intrínsecos de la producción de géneros que están en la base del periodismo moderno, y que son, al mismo tiempo, supervivencia de la poesía narrativa de la Edad Media en tiempos de la aculturación tipográfica. Se estudian los medios de composición y las técnicas que utilizan sus autores más habituales, los ciegos, así como también las particularidades poéticas y retóricas de la literatura de cordel española del siglo XVI, junto con los medios y las maneras de difusión. Una parte principal del estudio atiende, precisamente, a la difusión de las obras de la literatura de cordel y en especial al modo en el que se leen o que se oyen leer. Este libro obtuvo el premio Bartolomé José Gallardo (2000).

[EN] In this book, Prof. Cátedra studies the varied manifestations of the «literature de cordel» (chapbooks) during the 16th century from an innovative perspective and with a wide unpublished documentation. They are investigated and make clear the intrinsic mechanisms of the production of genres that are in the base of the modern journalism, and that they are, at the same time, a survival of the narrative poetry of the Middle Ages in times of the typographical acculturation. There are studied the system of composition and the mnemonic tecnologies that are in use among the most habitual authors, the blind persons, as well as also the poetical and rhetorical particularities of theese editorial genres of the 16th century, together with the means and the ways of diffusion. A principal part of the study attends, precisely, to the diffusion of the works of this kind of texts, and especially to the way that are read or hear readig. This book obtained the Bartolomé Jose Gallardo awards (2000).
