[ES] El presente estudio busca conciliar dos temas, a priori, totalmente opuestos: religión y videojuegos. Uno de los campos más convulsos de los estudios bíblicos es el de la literatura apócrifa, y dentro de ella, la apocalíptica es el género más cultivado, con el libro etiópico de Henoc a la cabeza. Esta obra ha traído de cabeza a los investigadores a lo largo de los años debido a la intrigante figura de su protagonista y a cuestiones como el origen del mal, la transmisión de conocimiento, los ángeles y los demonios. Por lo tanto, no es de extrañar que la obra haya llegado a interesar a personas ajenas a la cultura judeocristiana. El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron es el mayor ejemplo de ello, una visión japonesa de esta obra judía, que abandona el ámbito literario para adentrarse en el terreno de los videojuegos, un medio moderno que se ha revelado como capaz de narrar historias.
