De leyenda rosa e historia científica : notas sobre el último revisionismo de la Segunda República

Abstract

[ES]En los últimos años ha surgido en la historiografía española contemporánea una corriente en la que domina una visión bastante negativa de la Segunda República basada en la creencia de que en abril de 1931 se instaló la revolución excluyente (en vez de una opción liberal) y en febrero de 1936 se abrió un violento periodo, del que fueron responsables sobre todo las izquierdas, que favoreció el terreno al golpe militar. Es una vieja tesis que se presenta sin embargo como objetiva («científica») y rupturista. En el artículo se presenta a los historiadores más relevantes de dicha corriente y se examinan críticamente algunos de sus supuestos referentes al reformismo socioeconómico que inauguró el régimen republicano.

[EN]In recent years there has appeared in the contemporary Spanish historiography a school in which quite a negative focus on the Second Republic prevails. It is based on the belief that in April 1931 an excluding revolution (instead of a liberal option) settled in and that in April 1936 a violent period began, which was the responsibility of the left most of all. This period eased the way for the military coup. In this article, the most relevant historians of this school are presented and some of their suppositions referring to the socioeconomic reformism that opened the republican regime are examined.
