Los sitios web de los institutos de investigación de Castilla y León como herramientas dirigidas a la difusión del conocimiento

Abstract

[ES]La presente investigación es un estudio sobre sitios web institucionales desde distintas aproximaciones cuantitativas y cualitativas y está focalizado en el caso de los institutos de investigación de Castilla y León. Tomando el sitio web como elemento nuclear de la presencia de las entidades en el ecosistema digital, se lleva a cabo una investigación con distintos enfoques. Se realiza un estudio mediante el uso de una checklist, se exploran los sitios web en busca de contenidos científicos, se realiza un estudio métrico con un crawler y se suma un análisis de links en base al estudio métrico. Con todo ello se pretende realizar una investigación global donde se cruzan técnicas propias de distintas áreas de las Ciencias Sociales como la Comunicación o la Documentación. De los resultados de la investigación también se desprenden elementos de mejora, de cara a la optimización de los sitios web como herramientas dirigidas a la difusión del conocimiento generado por las instituciones, por lo que en la base del estudio subyace una intencionalidad práctica directa que pretende ser un aporte a estudios posteriores sobre recursos web.

[EN]The present investigation reports a study of institutional web sites based on different quantitative and qualitative approaches and focuses on the case of research institutes in the region of Castilla y León. Taking web sites as a nuclear element of the presence of research institutes in the digital system, an investigation was undertaken from a dual point of view. One study was performed via the use of a checklist; web sites were searched for scientific contents. In other other, a metric study was carried out with a crawler, and a link analysis was performed on the basis of the metric study. The underlying aim of this was to carry out a global investigation in which techniques from different areas of the Social Sciences such as Communication and Information Science were used. From the results of the study it may be inferred that some elements can be improved with a view to optimizing the web sites studied as tools aimed at the diffusion of the knowledge generated by the institutions, such that underlying the study there was a direct practical intent aimed at offering a contribution to later studies on web resources.
