La adecuación lingüística al destinatario en los textos médicos instructivos y de divulgación del renacimiento castellano

Abstract

[EN] The texts of medicine written in Romance language that came out during the Renaissance period weren’t little in number. In spite of it, until relative recent times, it hasn’t been given a lot of attention to them, especially in relation with the linguistic aspects as, for example, which the main mechanisms used by the authors of these texts to transmit the main medical ideas are. These mechanisms changed according to the specific role of each text, its content and receiver, as well as the interests and motivations of those who produced it. We take care of it in this paper, based on the analysis of the divulgative and instructive texts of the Castilian Renaissance Medicine.

[ES] No fueron pocos los textos de medicina escritos en lengua vulgar aparecidos durante el periodo renacentista. A pesar de ello, hasta épocas relativamente recientes, no se les ha prestado demasiada atención, sobre todo en relación con aspectos lingüísticos como, por ejemplo, cuáles fueron los principales mecanismos de que se sirvieron los autores de tales textos para transmitir las principales ideas médicas. Unos mecanismos que variaron según la función concreta de cada texto, su contenido y destinatario, así como los intereses y las motivaciones de quien lo elaboró. De ello nos ocupamos en este trabajo, a partir del análisis de las obras instructivas y las destinadas a la divulgación, aparecidas en castellano, en la España del siglo XVI.
