La Guerra Civil Española en la actualidad cibermediática

Abstract

The appeal of the Spanish Civil War in the online world is a phenomenon deserving of attention, as an event that took place more than 75 years ago which still arouses debate and the curiosity of many. It is surprising that the media world considers it “newsworthy” and that it has an important presence on the Internet — on blogs, websites, You Tube, and even social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. This article examines all mention of the Civil War in online media. We start from the idea that the features of the online world allow for an extensive and multifaceted production of media of content which is more cultural, more social, and more attuned to the passing of time.

La actualidad de la Guerra Civil en los medios de comunicación online es un fenómeno que merece atención, habida cuenta de que un acontecimiento que tuvo lugar hace más de 75 años ocupa todavía hoy espacios de debate y suscita la curiosidad de muchos. Es sorprendente que los medios la consideren «noticia» y que sea protagonista de muchos productos que ofrece Internet —blogs, páginas web, Youtube—, e incluso en los social media como Facebook y Twitter. El presente artículo se plantea como objetivo analizar la presencia de la Guerra Civil en los medios digitales. Partimos de la idea de que las características de dichos medios permiten una producción extensa y multimediática de los contenidos, lo cual ha devenido en la divulgación de noticias de carácter más cultural, más social, y más reivindicativo.
