Abstract

The following article presents a typology of images of the future and focuses primarily on the analysis of the relationship between the present and the future. The objective is to elaborate a critical semantic of the historical times of the future. While Koselleck developped a temporal analysis of the times of the past, I propose a temporal analysis of the times of the future. The result will be a philosophy of the future which is coherent with a practical philosophy of history. Future in the emphatical sense of the word necessarily implies a possible change or break from the present – and the problems of action and moral responsibility that go along with it. The deliberations presented here end with an ethics of the future.

El siguiente artículo presenta una tipología de los conceptos del futuro. En particular un análisis de las relaciones temporales entre el presente y el futuro. El objetivo primordial consiste en exponer una semántica crítica de los tiempos históricos del futuro. Busco elaborar para los tiempos del futuro lo mismo que Koselleck elaboró para las estructuras de los tiempos del pasado. El objetivo es, entonces, fundar una filosofía del futuro como una filosofía práctica de la historia. El futuro, en el sentido enfático de la palabra, implica necesariamente la posibilidad de un cambio o ruptura del presente, con los problemas de acción y responsabilidad moral que ello lleva consigo. Estos planteamientos serán explicados dentro del margen de una ética del futuro.
