Percepciones del profesorado respecto al bullying y su relación con la desafección y el fracaso escolar en la provincia de Salamanca

Abstract

[SP] En el presente trabajo captamos las percepciones que tienen los profesores respecto al bullyingy otras variables que influyen de forma negativa en aquellos alumnos víctimas de la violencia escolar en las aulas, induciéndoles de una manera u otra al fracaso y/o desafección escolar. Nuestra intención es presentar al adolescente como un ser en continuo cambio, lo que incluye distintas situaciones con sus correspondientes problemas, pero siempre viéndolas desde un aspecto temporal transitorio. Además, planteamos la necesidad de modificar la cultura de la omisión, de la falta de actuación y de la obstrucción de acciones que impidan los actos de violencia escolar, por la implicación directa e instruida en las normas de convivencia del centro. La muestra, compuesta por 125 profesores con alumnos de tercero y/o cuarto de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria con edades comprendidas entre los 15 y 16 años se encuentra distribuida entre diversos municipios de la provincia y del centro de la capital de Salamanca. En el estudio plasmamos el fenómeno del bullying horizontal y vertical, los indicadores de prevención e intervención para el profesorado y de protección para sus alumnos, el papel que se otorga al profesorado como autoridad pública y la importancia de las tutorías.[EN] This paper examines the perceptions that teachers have regarding bullyingand other variables that have a negative impact on those students who are victims of violence in the classroom, inducing them one way or another to failure and/or school disaffection. Our intention is to present adolescents as being in a state of constant change, which includes different situations with their corresponding problems, but always viewing them from a transitional temporary aspect. In addition, we consider the need to change the culture of failure, the lack of action and obstruction of actions that prevent acts of school violence, by the direct involvement and educated in the rules of coexistence of the educational center. The sample, composed of 125 teachers with students in the third or fourth year of compulsory secondary education aged between 15 and 16 years, is distributed between different municipalities of the province and the center of the capital city of Salamanca. In the study, we capture the phenomenon of bullyinghorizontally and vertically, the indicators for prevention and intervention for teachers and protection for students, the role given to the faculty as a public authority and the importance of mentoring.
