Nuevos planes, idénticas estrategias: apuntes sobre un cine asturiano actual

Abstract

Este artículo hace un repaso a la situación del audiovisual asturiano con especial hincapié en los últimos tres años. Tras la desaparición de las subvenciones y los presupuestos para cine, ha surgido una serie de nombres que ruedan sus proyectos al margen de la industria y que han normalizado el largometraje de ficción comoobjetivo a su alcance. Sus características les hermanan al cine alternativo aparecido en Españaaunque, al mismo tiempo, ofrecen rasgos particulares que matizan su definición.

This article pays attention to the condition of theAsturian audiovisual production, especially during the last three years. After the disappearence of the grants and investments in culture, a group of young filmmakers has emerged with low-cost independent films that have standardized the full-lenght film as their main target. Their characteristics approach them to the “Other Spanish Cinema” although, at the same time, they show particular circumstances that distinguish their productions.
