La ambigüedad motivo-causa en la fenomenología del "yo quiero" de Paul Ricoeur

Abstract

El artículo revisa la relación entre lo voluntario y lo involuntario bajo la perspectiva de Paul Ricoeur. Bajo este enfoque se propone dialogar con las investigaciones neurocientíficas que establecen en las causas neuronales las explicaciones determinantes de la voluntad, para concluir, desde la fenomenología, que la voluntad se comprende fundamentalmente gracias a los motivos de toda elección. De esta manera, se defiende una reciprocidad entre los aspectos neurocerebrales y los actos subjetivos del querer. Esta reciprocidad manifiesta una voluntad que emerge de condiciones biológicas, pero adquiere sentido como un querer encarnado y libre.

This paper studies the relationship between the voluntary and the involuntary under Paul Ricoeur's perspective. Under this approach it's proposed to discuss with neuroscientific studies that establish in neuronal causes the explanations determining the will, to conclude, from phenomenology, that the will is essentially motivated. In this way, it's defended a reciprocity between the neurocerebral aspects and the subjective acts of the will. This reciprocity manifests a will that emerges from biological conditions, but acquires meaning as an embodied and free will.
