Gender and Childhood in the II Iron Age: The pottery centre of Las Cogotas (Ávila, Spain)

Abstract

Thanks to the opening of new methodological doors through ethnoarchaeology, the pre-roman pottery centre of Las Cogotas (Cardeñosa, Ávila) permits us to explore the prominence of children and women to obtain a satisfactory understanding of the potteries chaîne operatoire. Indeed, they play an essential role in the economic and social organization of this production center, which allows us to approach their way of conceiving the reality that surrounds them.
