Resumen
[Es] La serie de televisión española Raíces (1972-1983), dirigida y presentada por Manuel Garrido Palacios, fue un éxito comercial en los últimos años de la dictadura franquista. Sus 199 capítulos mostraban la visión personal de su director sobre las costumbres y tradiciones de los pueblos de España, bajo el prisma que los cantautores mostraban de cultura popular próxima a desaparecer. Con el mismo criterio con que el etnomusicólogo Joaquín Díaz había presentado en diversos programas de televisión en España y en Estados Unidos la música popular y los bailes tradicionales españoles, Garrido amplió sus programas a las fiestas populares, la artesanía o la gastronomía. En esta comunicación queremos analizar la música aplicada utilizada en la serie con los parámetros actuales para contextualizar los numerosos premios nacionales e internacionales que obtuvo esta serie y valorar su aportación real como un producto audiovisual.
