Abstract

[ES]En el presente trabajo abordamos el estudio de las estampas con motivos religiosos que ilustran algunos de los libros impresos por uno de los talleres tipográficos más importantes de Ciudad de México del siglo XVIII, el de María Candelaria de Rivera. La elección de los temas de las estampas hay que relacionarla con el contenido de los libros o con los paratextos de los mismos, de manera que conforman una única realidad.[EN]In this work we present our research on the religious-themed engravings that illustrate some of the books printed by one of the most important eighteenth-century typographic workshops in Mexico City, that of María Candelaria de Rivera. The chosen topics of the prints must be understood in relation to the content of the books or their paratexts, such that they form a single reality.
