Patrones de coautoría en la investigación española y latinoamericana en la categoría “Communication” en ESCI y JCR-SSCI (2015-2021)

Abstract

[ES] Esta investigación compara mediante un análisis sociométrico las redes de coautoría en los artículos recogidos en la categoría “Communication” en las bases de datos ESCI y JCR firmados por, al menos, un autor vinculado a instituciones españolas o latinoamericanas (N = 8963). Los resultados apuntan a una cooperación más intensa en JCR que en ESCI. En esta última la red es más fragmentada, lo que permite deducir la existencia de un mayor número de comunidades especializadas. Aunque ambas redes se definen por la centralidad destacada de España, en JCR existe un mayor peso de instituciones europeas que en ESCI, más marcada por países latinoamericanos y también anglosajones. La cooperación regional en Latinoamérica es secundaria, tanto en JCR como en ESCI. Por último, también se encuentran evidencias de una mayor colaboración interdisciplinar en JCR. [EN] This paper compares the co-authorship networks of articles indexed in the ‘Communication’ category in the ESCI and JCR databases, authored by at least one researcher from a Spanish or Latin American institution (N = 8963). The results suggest that co-authorship is more intense in JCR than in ESCI. Furthermore, the latter network is more fragmented, indicating a higher number of specialized communities. Although both networks are organized around Spain, European institutions are more central in JCR, while in ESCI, Latin American and Anglo-Saxon centers occupy more priv- ileged positions. Regional cooperation among Latin American institutions is secondary, in both JCR and ESCI. Finally, the evidence suggests more interdisciplinary collaboration in JCR.
