Integraciones entre lo físico y lo digital en la estética de las nuevas tecnologías

Abstract

[ES] El presente artículo analiza las relaciones entre lo físico y lo digital tal y como se dan en la estética de las nuevas tecnologías. A partir de prácticas artísticas realizadas en los últimos años, así como de innovaciones recientes en la tecnología de consumo, pueden constatarse transformaciones estéticas que apuntan a una integración de lo material y lo electrónico. Dado que las características de los nuevos dispositivos como smartphones y tabletas piden una revisión del lenguaje teórico-filosófico empleado, proponemos de manera provisional el término “realidad integrada” para referirnos a este espacio híbrido que plantea un continuo entre estos dos entornos. [EN] The following paper analyzes the relations between the physical and the digital, focusing in the aesthetic of new technologies. We study recent artworks and the latest innovations in consumer technology in order to show aesthetical transformations which indicate integration between the material and the electronic. The features of new devices such as smartphones or tablets demand a revision of the theoretical language. We propose the term “integrated reality” to refer to a hybrid space which poses a continuum between these two environments.
