Implantación, consolidación y actuación represiva de la dictadura franquista en la provincia de Cáceres: el Gobierno Civil, el Tribunal Regional de Responsabilidades Políticas y el Tribunal Especial para la Represión de la Masonería y el Comunismo

Abstract

[ES] La presente tesis doctoral tiene como finalidad analizar el proceso de configuración y consolidación del Nuevo Estado en la provincia de Cáceres a fin de determinar las consecuencias represivas de la dictadura en esta provincia extremeña. Para ello centraremos nuestro estudio en el análisis de las tres principales instituciones destinadas a ejercer el control dentro de esta demarcación provincial: el Gobierno Civil de la provincia de Cáceres, el Tribunal Regional de Responsabilidades Políticas de Cáceres y el Tribunal Especial para la Represión de la Masonería y el Comunismo entre los años 1936 y 1951, periodo en el cual se asienta definitivamente el nuevo orden institucional en esta parte del país. Además de abordar la configuración y actuación de los organismos anteriormente expuestos (lo cual permitirá precisar el alcance de la represión ejercida por los mismos), se pretende analizar la legislación en la cual se sustentaba su creación y competencias represivas. Del mismo modo, esta investigación tiene como objetivo la aproximación al personal político que se puso al frente de las instituciones que nos ocupan, cuya finalidad es extraer el perfil de los actores de la represión en la provincia. Finalmente, tras la elaboración de las conclusiones será posible establecer una serie de características propias de la provincia extremeña las cuales, en su conjunto, permitirán precisar el modelo de implantación de la dictadura dentro de la misma.

[EN] The aim of this doctoral thesis is to analyse the process of configuration and consolidation of the New State in the province of Cáceres in order to determine the repressive consequences of the dictatorship in this province of Extremadura. To this end, we will focus our study on the analysis of the three main institutions destined to exercise control within this provincial demarcation: the Civil Government of the province of Cáceres, the Regional Court of Political Responsibilities of Cáceres and the Special Court for the Repression of Freemasonry and Communism between 1936 and 1951, a period in which the new institutional order was definitively established in this part of the country. In addition to dealing with the configuration and action of the bodies described above (which will make it possible to determine the scope of the repression exercised by them), the aim is to analyse the legislation on which their creation and repressive powers were based. Likewise, the aim of this research is to approach the political personnel who were put in charge of the institutions we are concerned with, with the aim of extracting the profile of the actors involved in repression in the province. Finally, after drawing up the conclusions, it will be possible to establish a series of characteristics specific to the province of Extremadura which, as a whole, will make it possible to specify the model of implementation of the dictatorship within the province.
