El futuro de la interculturalidad en Educación Primaria según la LOMLOE: análisis desde la enseñanza de ELE

Abstract

[ES En este trabajo se elabora un estudiodel tratamiento de la competencia intercultural en el nuevo currículo de Educación Primaria, el cual comenzará a implementarse en el curso 2022-2023. Para ello, se abordan los tres constructos que articulan el currículo: el marco pedagógico, el perfil de salida y las áreas o ámbitos. En cuanto al perfil de salida, se estudian en profundidad los descriptores operativos; por lo que respecta a las áreas o ámbitos, se atiende a las competencias específicas y a los criterios de evaluación. Las cinco categorías que constituyen el análisis emergen de las características atribuidas a la competencia intercultural en la enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras, esto es, los componentes cognitivo, afectivo, procedimental, crítico e identitario. El artículo concluye identificando fortalezas y debilidades del tratamiento de la interculturalidad en la propuesta educativa,yse sugieren accionespara la segunda concreción del currículo. Entre estas, destacan lasnecesidadesde trabajar explícitamente la competencia simbólica y la capacidad para negociar significados culturales; de especificar cómo habrá de afrontar el alumnado la otredad;de atender ala configuración de la identidad de los estudiantes; y, finalmente, de fortalecer la formación del profesorado en el ámbito de la interculturalidad.

[EN] This work constitutesa study of the treatment of intercultural competence in the new Primary Education basic curriculum, which will be implemented in the 2022-2023 academic year. To do this, the three constructs that organisethe basic curriculum are addressed: the pedagogical framework, the outputprofile and the areas. Regarding the output profile, operational descriptors are studiedin depth; with regard to the areas, specific competences and the assessmentcriteria are taken into account. The five categories that constitute the analysis emerge from the characteristics attributed to intercultural competence in the teaching of foreign languages, that is, the cognitive, affective, behavioral, critical and identity components. The paperconcludes by identifying strengths and weaknesses of the treatment of interculturality in the educational proposal, and actionsare suggestedfor the second specification of the basic curriculum. Four needs stand out:to explicitly work on symbolic competence and on the ability to negotiate cultural meanings; to specify how the students will deal with otherness; to pay attention tothe configuration of the identity of the students; and, finally, to strengthen teacher training in the field of interculturality.
