Combinatoria léxica y lenguaje figurado: algunas consideraciones sobre colocaciones latinas en la frontera con la fraseología

Abstract

Collocations form a heterogeneous continuum from free combinations of words to idioms in which expressions with different degrees of fixation and compositionality can be found. This paper reflects, from a Cognitive point of view, on those collocational expressions which are on the borderline with phraseology. It deals, particularly, with those collocations whose base is used in a metaphorical sense and those which have a metonymic meaning, using some examples of the collocational radius of manus «hand», a noun which plays an important role in the creation of figurative language, to illustrate them.
