Entre la precariedad y la resistencia. Características de la antropología venezolana en las primeras dos décadas del siglo XXI

Abstract

[ES]El siglo XXI en Venezuela se caracteriza por un fuerte conflicto político que se filtró en diversos ámbitos e instituciones de la vida nacional, incluyendo la investigación. El presente estudio vincula el desarrollo de la investigación antropológica en Venezuela con los cambios sociales y económicos del país durante las primeras dos décadas del siglo XXI, con el objetivo de conocer cómo ha impactado la Revolución Bolivariana en la investigación antropológica, cuál es el estado actual de la investigación antropológica en y sobre Venezuela, y qué significa hacer antropología en el contexto de crisis que define al país. Las consideraciones finales ofrecen algunas reflexiones sobre las dificultades de la producción científica en contextos de precariedad y crisis.

The 21st century in Venezuela is characterized by a strong political conflict that has filtered into different areas and institutions of national life, including research. This study links the development of anthropological research in Venezuela with the social and economic changes in the country during the first two decades of the 21st century, with the objective of determining how the Bolivarian Revolution has impacted anthropological research, as well as identifying the current state of anthropological research in, and concerning, Venezuela, and what it means to carry out anthropology in the context of the crisis that is currently defining the country. The final considerations offer some reflections on the difficulties of scientific development and progress in the contexts of precariousness and crisis.
