Por amor al arte. Aula de danza de la universidad de Córdoba

Abstract

The «Aula de Danza» of the University of Córdoba is a social and cultural projection classroom dependent on the Rectorate that was born in 2011. It emerged from a group of teachers from the Department of Artistic and Corporal Education, based in the Faculty of Educational Sciences, fruit of their passion for dance, looking for this discipline had a greater presence in the institution and in the citizenry.The philosophy is inclusive. It is open to those who wish to deepen the study of the art of Dance, as well as to all people interested in having contact with the world of movement and its different manifestations. Its purpose is to promote in the university community and citizens an approach to the art of movement through the healthy practice of dance, while promoting ethical and aesthetic values.This article seeks to share the experience, of more than ten years of existence, of the «Aula de Danza» of the UCO (Spain), hoping to contribute to promoting art in movement and its benefits in the university educational environment and other contexts. We hope it will be useful for the creation of similar projects or contribute to existing ones.

El Aula de Danza de la Universidad de Córdoba es un aula de proyección social y cultural dependiente del Rectorado que nació en 2011. Surgió de un colectivo de docentes del Departamento de Educación Artística y Corporal, con sede en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación, fruto de la pasión por la danza, buscando que esta disciplina tuviese mayor presencia en la institución y en la ciudadanía. Su filosofía es inclusiva. Está abierta a aquellas personas deseosas de profundizar en el estudio del arte de la danza, así como a toda la gente interesada en tener contacto con el mundo del movimiento y sus diferentes manifestaciones. Su finalidad es promover en la comunidad universitaria y la ciudadanía un acercamiento al arte del movimiento mediante la práctica saludable de la danza, fomentando al mismo tiempo los valores éticos y estéticos. Este artículo busca compartir la experiencia, de más de diez años de andadura, del Aula de Danza de la UCO (España), esperando contribuir a fomentar el arte en movimiento y sus beneficios en el ámbito educativo universitario y otros contextos. Esperamos que sea de utilidad para la creación de proyectos similares o contribuir a los ya existentes.
