Edad Moderna en el currículo: Evolución y actualización historiográfica

Abstract

This article objective is to detail the evolution of the contents on Early Modern Age in the Spanish curriculum comparing to the historiography's trajectory in the XXI century. On one hand, a bibliometric analysis of the articles published in Web of Science (WoS) has been carried out to know which are the most addressed topics by researchers in recent years. On the other hand, the organization and nature of the contents on Early Modern History in the curriculum of Secondary Education since 1990, have been analyzed and compared with the introduction of topics and problems related to the current historiography. This curriculum has been questioned in diverse debates, as it´s also reflected in the curricular concretions carried out by various Autonomous Communities, and which contains different purposes on the Teaching of the Early Modern Age in Secondary School.

El objetivo de este artículo es detallar la evolución de los contenidos sobre Edad Moderna en el currículo español, en comparación con la trayectoria de la historiografía modernista en el siglo XXI. Para ello, se ha realizado un análisis bibliométrico de los artículos publicados en Web of Science (WoS) para conocer cuáles son las temáticas más abordadas por los investigadores modernistas en los últimos años. Por otro lado, se han analizado la organización y naturaleza de los contenidos sobre Historia Moderna en los currículos de Educación Secundaria desde 1990, y se ha comparado con la introducción de temas y problemáticas de la actual historiografía modernista. Esta propuesta curricular ha sido cuestionada en diversos debates, como se refleja también en las concreciones curriculares realizadas por diversas comunidades autónomas, y que encierra las diferentes finalidades sobre la enseñanza de la Edad Moderna en Educación Secundaria.
