Necesidad psicológica del mito

Abstract

[ES]Los mitos representan el sustrato fundamental que dotan de sentido a la vida. De ellos se obtienen las fuentes de sabiduría, poder y la canalización de la libido (energía vital), así como trasladar el eje de poder desde el pequeño ego hacia algo más grande; el Sí-mismo. En la actualidad posmoderna, racional y científica nuestro mito ha sido destruido, redundando en un aumento de los trastornos psicológicos y una pérdida del sentido de la vida. Las personas son como pequeños átomos dispersos que luchan por obtener respuestas. Esta tesis pretende indagar en este fenómeno y hacerlo consciente, para recuperar ese sentido perdido y, tal vez, propiciar que el individuo vuelva a establecer contacto con un nuevo mito personal que le lleve hacia una vida plena y llena de sentido, puesto que el mito colectivo emana de la confluencia de una multitud de mitos personales.

[EN]Myths represent the fundamental basis that provides life with meaning. Wisdom sources, power, and the channeling of libido (vital energy), are obtained from myths, and the power axis is transferred from the small ego to something greater, the self. In the current post-modern rational scientific era, our myth has been destroyed, leading to a rise in psychopathology and life losing sense. People are like small, disperse atoms striving for obtaining answers. This doctoral dissertation aims to shed light on this phenomenon, making it conscious, in order to recover the lost meaning and, maybe, promote that the individual retakes contact with a new personal myth leading him to a full and meaningful life, to the extent that the collective myth stems from multiple confluencing personal myths.
