“Diccionarios de humor: los diccionarios de Coll”

Abstract

Este trabajo es una reflexión sobre los procedimientos lingüísticos que se aplican a las palabras de un (presunto) diccionario para conseguir efectos humorísticos. En varios países y en diferentes momentos, han aparecido repertorios lexicográficos de humor, con parodia del diccionario convencional y con fines, normalmente, ideológicos. Pero me voy a centrar en dos diccionarios (1975 y 2001) de José Luis Coll, conocido humorista español en los últimos cuarenta años. Aquí no se trata de una definición más o menos ingeniosa, sino de un proceso metalingüístico de creación de palabras nuevas o del reanálisis de las existentes. Ludolingüística en estado puro.

This work is a reflection based on the various linguistic procedures applied to the words of a (presumed) dictionary of humor. In several countries and at different times, there have been humorous lexicographic repertoires, with mockery references of the conventional dictionary, and usually with an ideological intention. I will focus on two dictionaries (1975 and 2001) of Jose Luis Coll, well known Spanish humorist of the past forty years. This work is not just about ingenious and fairly accurate definitions, but a metalinguistic creation process of new words or the reanalysis of existing ones. Ludology-linguistics in its purest form, total language play.
