Resumen
[EN]This study explores the lived experiences of women who are victims of intimate partner violence (IPV) in their process of seeking social support. Using a qualitative approach, the research examines the coping strategies and personal as well as contextual factors that facilitate or hinder help-seeking behaviors. Findings highlight the crucial role of emotional and professional support in women’s recovery processes and in preventing re-victimization. The results contribute to a deeper understanding of social support as a protective mechanism and provide implications for psychosocial interventions and public policies aimed at promoting gender equality and protecting women from violence.
