Resumen
[EN] The neural mechanisms of novelty detection, especially in relation to behavior, are currently poorly understood. Here, we present a protocol for recording neuronal activity in macaque auditory cortex during novelty detection tasks. We describe steps for behavioral training, surgical headpost implantation, MRI-based electrode targeting, and electrophysiological recording. These steps allow direct assessment of the correlation between novelty detection behavior and neuronal activity.
