El empleo del textil en el arte: aproximaciones a una taxonomía

Abstract

[ES]En el uso del textil, al igual que sucede con otros medios, pueden apreciarse elementos diferenciadores en función de los fines con los que son producidos, así como por los contextos en los que son exhibidos. Elementos definitorios a la hora de generar una taxonomía del arte producido mediante dicho recurso, y lo que ha permitido abordar el asunto en base a cuatro ámbitos de estudio. Así, en primer lugar se plantea el trabajo de artistas que emplean el textil de manera exclusivamente formal. Posteriormente se pone de manifiesto cómo dicho medio actúa como aglutinador de colectivos o grupos sociales vehiculados por un agente del arte. En tercer lugar, se ha realizado un estudio de casos desvinculados del contexto artístico, pero que mediante el empleo de la aguja adquieren visibilidad y, finalmente, se pone de manifiesto el empleo que hacen de éste, artistas insertos en canales profesionales y específicos del arte mediante un uso metadiscursivo. [EN]The present article contributes a taxonomy study about the contemporary art textile practices. The methodology consists in create four study fields in connection with the aims of the diverse ways of use the textile media, these are: First of all, artists that uses the textile in an exclusively formal way, subsequently had been studied the social groups organized by an art member by using this media as a collective unifying agent. In the third place a cases study has been done, apparently dissociated of the artistic context, but through the needle work acquires visibility. In the fourth and last place, renowned prestige artists that uses the textile work in an occasionally or usually way, as a media to shape a thought giving form to a theoretical arguments. After the study of these four cases final reflections has been done, as conclusions in which it tries to show the framework where each practices are inscribed, their characteristics in common and their divergences.
