Resumen
[EN] In an increasingly dynamic, uncertain and digitally driven business context, this research explores how the
structured integration of digital transformation strategies into organisational strategic management can
contribute to sustainable value creation, with a special focus on small and medium-sized enterprises
(SMEs). The working hypothesis assumes that digital transformation strengthens organisations'
competitiveness, efficiency and adaptability when properly aligned with strategic objectives.
The research adopts a compendium approach, supported by three complementary studies. The first conducts
a systematic review and bibliometric analysis of the literature, identifying trends, gaps and challenges in
the interconnection between digital transformation, strategic management and value creation. The second
study proposes an accessible quantitative methodology to support sustainable strategic decisions, testing it
in a context of assessment of emerging energy technologies. The third article applies fuzzy logic models to
support strategic decision-making in uncertain environments, demonstrating how computational methods
can operationalise subjective judgments and multiple criteria robustly and value oriented.
Additionally, the research benefits from papers presented at international conferences, which deepen the
theoretical analysis of the evolution of digital transformation in strategic environments and expand the
empirical application of decision support methodologies. These complementary pieces of research examine,
among others, digital maturity evaluation in SMEs, comparisons of fuzzy multicriteria methods, and the
evaluation of the impact of sustainable technologies on value creation. These contributions all help to
strengthen the conceptual and methodological soundness of the research, enabling us to have a clearer view
of the threats and opportunities that digital transformation presents to strategic management in the
contemporary world. The results confirm that SMEs can make improved, sustainable decisions in favour
of their strategic objectives through the incorporation of digital technologies and models into complex
decision-making. In addition to the three main papers, the research includes complementary papers that
reinforce the bibliometric analysis, validate quantitative models, and compare multicriteria approaches.
This work advances knowledge in digital transformation, strategic management, and sustainability. It
proposes practical tools for managers' decision-making in increasingly complex and digitalised
environments.
