Concha Méndez y María Zambrano en México. Comparativa sobre sus aportaciones identitarias, culturales, y educativas

Abstract

[ES] La Guerra Civil española y la posterior dictadura franquista llevaron a miles de republicanos al exilio, entre ellos muchas mujeres. El objetivo de este artículo es explorar la experiencia de las mujeres republicanas en Hispanoamérica y su contribución a la memoria histórica. Se examinará cómo estas mujeres enfrentaron los desafíos del exilio, cómo preservaron y transmitieron su memoria colectiva y qué legado dejaron en la historia de España. En este trabajo, se realiza un acercamiento general al papel de las exiliadas españolas en Hispanoamérica, para después centrarse en los exilios de Concha Méndez y María Zambrano en México. Se estudia la situación de México en ese periodo y se comparan a las autoras en cuanto a las aportaciones culturales que suponen sus obras, sus formas de concebir la identidad y sus papeles como educadoras. Este capítulo ofrece una comparativa entre dos autoras con biografías y estilos literarios diferentes, pero que realizaron una actividad que contribuye hasta hoy a un pensamiento crítico social, personal y educador. [EN]The Spanish Civil War and the subsequent Franco dictatorship drove thousands of Republicans into exile, among them many women. The aim of this article is to explore122 the experience of Republican women in Latin America and their contribution to historical memory. It will examine how these women faced the challenges of exile, how they preserved and transmitted their collective memory and what legacy they left in thehistory of Spain. In this work, a general approach is made to the role of Spanish women exiles in Latin America, to then focus on the exiles of Concha Méndez and María Zambrano in Mexico. The situation in Mexico during this period is studied and the authors are compared in terms of the cultural contributions made by their works, their ways of conceiving identity and their roles as educators. This chapter offers a comparison between two authors with different biographies and literary styles, but who carried out an activity that contributes to this day to a critical social, personal and educational thinking.
