Vertical landscape structure of the southern part of Vis Island, Croatia

Abstract

[EN]The paper presents some basic features of vertical landscape structure of the southern part of Vis Island, Croatia. Its aim is the determination of geocomplex types with a certain degree of stability and resistance to external influences, and confirmation or rejection of hypothesis that with the application of appropriate methods, the spatial relation between geocomplex types as well as the identification of specific dominant/stable and vulnerable/labile geocom-plex types can be precisely determined. The results should serve as the basis for estimation of current status and future trends in the development of geocomplex types as well as the environmental changes.
