Evolução histórica dos problemas de optimização e o seu tratamento no Ensino Secundário português nos séculos XX e XXI

Abstract

A lo largo de esta investigación hicimos un análisis de los libros históricos y de los libros didácticos de Matemática para identificar los problemas de optimización presentes en esas obras, así como hacer un análisis de las formas de resolución de los mismos y verificar qué tipos de problemas detectamos en los mismos.Este trabajo se ha dividido en cuatro capítulos. En el primero, Diseño de la Investigación, se presenta la definición del problema de investigación, los objetivos que se pretenden alcanzar así como las hipótesis formuladas y finalmente la metodología adoptada, las fases en que se divide el trabajo y, por último, el plan de recogida de datos.En el segundo capítulo, Análisis Histórico de los Problemas de Optimización, presentamos el análisis realizado de las diversas obras históricas analizadas. En el tercer capítulo, Análisis de los Programas Oficiales y de los Manuales Escolares Portugueses de los Siglos XX y XXI, se incluye, tanto el análisis de los programas oficiales que contemplan el estudio de la derivada, como de los respectivos manuales escolares.En el último capítulo, Conclusiones finales, se presenta la consecución de los objetivos de investigación; las hipótesis de investigación y los resultados; las limitaciones del trabajo y las implicaciones para futuras investigaciones.Con la realización de este trabajo se pretende contribuir a una mejor comprensión de la forma en que este tipo de problemas surgió y fue abordado. También se incluyen datos referentes a cuándo y de qué manera los problemas de optimización formaron parte de los programas oficiales y de los manuales escolares a lo largo de los siglos XX y XXI.

Along this research we have made an analysis of some historical books and some Mathematics textbooks with the aim of identifying optimization problems that were in these works. We have made an analysis of the method used for their solution and a verification of the types of problems discovered in these books as well.This work has been divided in four chapters. In the first, Design of the research, the definition of the research problem, the objectives we are seeking to achieve as well as the assumptions made and the methodology adopted are posed, there were too the phases in which is divided the work and, finally, the planning for data collection.In the second chapter, Historical Analysis of Optimization Problems, the analysis of the various historical books is explained.In the third chapter, Analysis of Official Programs and of Portuguese textbooks for the XXth and XXIth Centuries, appears both the analysis of government programmes that include the topic of the derivative, as the respective textbooks.In the last chapter, Final Conclusions, we present the achievement of the research objectives; the hypothesis of research and the results; the limitations of work and the implications for future researches.With this work we try to contribute to a better understanding of the way in which this type of problems appeared. It also includes data referring to when and how optimization problems formed part of the official programmes and were included in the respective textbooks over XXth and XXIth centuries.
