La educación estética como superación del Nihilismo en la obra de Ernst Jünger

Abstract

El objetivo fundamental de nuestra tesis doctoral consiste en concebir la obra del pensador Ernst Jünger como una respuesta al problema del nihilismo, ya anunciado por Nietzsche, considerando el conjunto de su obra no sólo como un diagnóstico del estado nihilista que afecta a Occidente, sino también como su tratamiento y cura. Por otro lado, hemos valorado y enjuiciado críticamente la validez y la viabilidad de su programa filosófico de la metafísica de la Gestalt como superación del nihilismo, analizando los supuestos epistemológicos que sustentan dicho programa.Teniendo presente estos objetivos, en el primer Capítulo hemos analizado, en primer lugar, las razones que justifican la desconfianza de Jünger respecto al programa racionalista y positivista de constituir y edificar una sociedad fundamentalmente buena, segura y razonable, y, en segundo lugar, hemos constatado en la obra de Jünger la necesidad de ensayar nuevas formas de conocimiento y dominio de la Naturaleza, no ya a través de la razón, sino de la intuición y de la experiencia, que permitan la fundación de un nuevo cosmopolitismo político, superando con ello el estado nihilista europeo. En el segundo Capítulo hemos descrito la naturaleza y el funcionamiento de ese cosmopolitismo, revisando críticamente los fundamentos metafísicos en los que se sustenta. Finalmente, en el tercer Capítulo hemos definido y cuestionado la teoría moral de la resistencia que Jünger propone como vía de superación del nihilismo y de los totalitarismos políticos del pasado siglo.

The main object of our doctoral thesis consists in conceiving the work of the thinker Ernst Jünger, as an answer to the problem of nihilism, already announced by Nietzsche, considering the collection of his work not only als a diagnosis of the nihilism which affects Occident, but also als its treatment and cure. On the other hand, we have assessed and judged critically the value and viability of his philosophical program of the Gestalt metaphysics, als superseding of nihilism, analyzing the epistemologic principles that support that program.Bearing these objectives in mind, on the first Chapter we have analyzed, first of all, the reasons that justify the distrust of Jünger regarding the rationalist and positivist program to constitute and build a good, safe and reasonable society, and, secondly, we have found in Jünger s work the necessity to test new forms of knowledge and control of Nature, not just through reason, but through intuition and experience, that permit the foundation of a new political cosmopolitanism, overcoming with it the european nihilism. On the second Chapter, we have described the nature and running of this cosmopolitanism, going criticatilly through the metaphysical fundaments in which it s supported. Finally, on the third Chapter we have defined and questioned the moral theory of the resistance which Jünger proposes as the way to overcoming the nihilism and the political totalitarianisms from last century.
