dc.description.abstract	In the teaching/learning of Spanish as a foreign language involving Japanese students, one the subjects that causes most problems is the opposition between indicative and subjunctive, because mood is not expressed in the form of the verb in Japanese. The different types of modality are expresed by means of the use of affixes (particles) and auxiliary verbs. In this paper, we have attempted to present and analyze the differences and similarites in this aspect of the syntactic structure of the two languages.	es_ES
