Basics styles of aggresive implication personality in the Million Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-II and their reference with the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2

Abstract

This study has as objective the analysis of the basic personality styles of the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-II (M.C.M.I.-II) that make references to the aggressive implications and its correspondence with the corresponding scales with the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory- 2 (M.M.P.I.-2). We have referred as aggressive implication Scales of the MCMI-II the Aggressive sadic Scale (6B), Passive-aggressive Personality (8A) and self-destructive Personality (8B). The sample is referred to 50 adult, clinical patients, with different diagnostic, to those who have been applied the MCMI-II and the MMPI-2 together. The results denote, in a significant and meaningful way, the three scales of the MCMI-II (6B,8A and 8B) a high positive correspondence with Schizophrenia (Sc), Hypomania (M), Paranoia (P), Psychopathic Deviation (Pd) and Pshychasthenia (Pt) related to the Basic scales of the MMPI-2 at the same time that a negative correspondence, equally high, with Excessively Controlled Hostility (O-H) of the Additional Scales of the MMPI-2.

Este estudio tiene como objetivo el análisis de los estilos básicos de personalidad del Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-II (M.C.M.I.-II) que hacen referencia a las implicaciones agresivas y su referencia con las escalas correspondientes con el Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (M.M.P.I.-2). Hemos referido como Escalas de implicación agresiva del MCMI-II la Escala Agresivo/sádica (6B), Personalidad Pasivo-agresiva (8A) y Personalidad Autodestructiva (8B). La muestra se encuentra referida por 50 sujetos adultos, pacientes clínicos con diferentes diagnósticos, a los que se les ha aplicado el MCMI-II y el MMPI-2 conjuntamente. Los resultados denotan, de forma sistemática y significativa en las tres escalas del MCMI-II (6B, 8A y 8B) una alta correspondencia positiva con Esquizofrenia (Sc), Hipomanía (Ma), Paranoia (Pa), Desviación Psicopática (Pd) y Psicastenia (Pt) correspondientes a las escalas Básicas del MMPI-2 al mismo tiempo que una correspondencia negativa, igualmente alta, con Hostilidad Excesivamente Controlada (O-H) de las Escalas Adicionales del MMPI-2.
