Autoestima y del autoconcepto en adolescentes: una reflexión para la orientación educativa

Abstract

Este estudio tiene como objetivo el análisis de la Autoestima y del Autoconcepto percibido por los adolescentes a través del test de Millon Adolescent Personality Inventory (M.A.P.I.). La muestra ha sido obtenida de la población española con un total de 342/364 adolescentes, entre 13 y 18 años (inclusive), divididos en grupos de edades (13-15 y 16-18 años) y sexos, y que de una forma significativa, perciben su autoestima o autoconcepto poco gratificante para su desarrollo. Los resultados denotan que estos adolescentes se muestran, de forma significativa, incómodos socialmente, molestos con sus obligaciones escolares, inseguros, molestos con su imagen corporal, emocionalmente lábiles y con un inadecuado rendimiento académico.

This study has as objective the analysis of the self-esteem and self-concept perceived by the adolescents through Test of Millon Adolescent Personality Inventory (M.A.P.I.). The sample has been obtained from the Spanish population with a total 342/ 364 adolescent, between 13 and 18 years old (inclusive), divided into groups of ages (13-15 and 16-18 years old) and both sexes, and that in a significant way. They perceive their self-esteem or self-concept not very gratifying for their development. The results denote that these adolescents are in a significant way, uncomfortable socially, annoyed with their school obligations, insecure, annoyed with their corporal image, emotionally fragile and with an improper academic achievement.
