Espacios transnacionales. Migración y globalización

Abstract

Este artículo pretende hacer un esbozo de la migración dentro del proceso dela globalización, que por un lado fomenta la migración y depende de ella, como mano de obra barata y por el otro atrae a los inmigrantes como expertos altamente calificados. Al mismo tiempo es restrictiva con los procesos migratorios.En este proceso el concepto del estado monolocal se vuelve obsoleto, pues las formas de vida cambiaron totalmente. Ahora se vive y se trabaja en partes diferentes. Los inmigrantes viven e interactúan en diferentes espacios transnacionales. Su participaciónse vuelve multilocal con expresiones de organizaciones de inmigrantes transnacionales o a través de diferentes expresiones culturales, como son la música, religión y sus elementos transnacionales. La situación del inmigrante no puede ser reducida a lo político o al estigma social, setiene que tomar en cuenta la parte emocional del inmigrante que requiere de espacios transnacionales. El artículo no quiere abrir una nueva área de investigación, sino hacer hincapié en algunos elementos que no han sido tomados en cuenta en la discusión sobremigración y el papel de los inmigrantes.

This work wants to point out the phenomenon of migration in the framework of a dynamic process in the globalisation. The process of globalisation supports on theone hand the human mobility (cheap workers and high professionals have the possibility of migration) on the other hand it puts restrictions on migration.In this process the concept of the monocausal state is obsolete, because the ways of life of the people are changing totally. Today people live in a different part as they work. The immigrants interact in different transnational spaces.The network of participation for the immigrants changes into a multilocal one, with different expressions. The immigrants participate in their own organisations or in several cultural activities, like music or religious elements, and this groups often aremultiethnic groups. The situation of the immigrants can t be reduced to a political or social affair, it should be considerated from the emotional part, which requires a different perception and transnational spaces. This work doesn t want to open a new research area it wants to point out some important elements in the discussion about migration and also to emphasize the importance of the immigrants for the different societies.
