La guerra de sucesión española en los pliegos poéticos de la biblioteca universitaria de Salamanca

Abstract

[ES] En el siglo XVIII un significativo número de pliegos poéticos sueltos fueron protagonizados por la monarquía, sobresaliendo por su número y devoción los dedicados a Felipe V. A este respecto, en la Biblioteca Universitaria de Salamanca se encuentra un volumen facticio constituido por un total de treinta y una obras en las que se refieren los sucesos más relevantes de la guerra de Sucesión. Su interés radica en que, además de ofrecer la interpretación popular de la contienda, su estudio permite, a través del Catálogo bibliográfico que aquí se ofrece, recuperar un material esencial para mejorar nuestro conocimiento de la literatura popular y de la imprenta dieciochesca.

[EN] In the eighteenth century a significant number of blindman’s ballads had as their subject the monarchy, the large number of those dedicated to Philip V and their devotion to him being outstanding. ln this respect, the University Library of Salamanca has a factitious volume made up of a total of thirty-one works which relate the most relevant events of the War of the Spanish Succession. lts interest lies in the fact that, besides offering the popular interpretation of the conflict, its study makes it possible, through the bibliographic catabogue offered here, to recover essential material for improving our knowledge of the popular literature and eighteenth century printing.
