Iconografía histórica de los terremotos hasta el de Lisboa en 1755

Abstract

[ES] La amplia iconografía existente sobre el sismo de 1755 permite seleccionar 29 láminas en las que está representada Lisboa desde una extensa panorámica. En esas láminas se hallan superpuestos, durante el mismo tiempo, los efectos del terremoto, el tsunami y los incendios que entre todos destruyeron la ciudad. Lo cual no parece responder exactamente a la realidad, pues se produjeron en una secuencia cronológica, eso sí, todavía no bien determinada. El análisis cuantitativo de estas 29 láminas, basado en la utilización de once variables descriptivas de las mismas, permite diferenciar tres agrupamientos de influencia mutua en sus estilos. También se han analizado otras láminas de épocas anteriores en las que se muestran los efectos de terremotos. Con ello se ha llegado a la conclusión de que hay elementos descriptores significativos que se han utilizado desde el siglo XIII para describir los efectos catastróficos de un gran terremoto en una ciudad. Dichos elementos se han utilizado también en todas las láminas que se refieren a Lisboa, 1755. Se ha prestado una atención especial a las láminas de los códices mozárabes realizados en España desde los siglos X al XIII, en las que se hace uso de elementos iconográficos diferentes al realizado en esas mismas épocas en Lorvao, Portugal, cerca del área de focos sísmicos importantes a través de la historia./n ABSTRACT: The wide existing iconography on the earthquake of 1755 permits to select 29 plates in those which is represented Lisbon from a vast panoramic. Also they have been analyzed other plates of previous eras in those which are shown the earthquake effects. With this has been arrived to the conclusion of the fact that there are elements meaningful describers that they have been used from to the Century XIII to describe the catastrophic effects of a great earthquake in a city. Said elements have been used also in all the plates that are referred to Lisbon, 1755. It has been lent a special attention to the plates of the mozarabic codices accomplished in Spain from the Centuries X to the XIII, in those which is made use of iconography elements different to accomplish in those same eras in Lorvao, Portugal, about area of important historical seismicity.
