[ES] La páginas que siguen pretenden ofrecer una visión de conjunto del análisis que de la historia de la Astronomía realiza Juan Andrés, desde los orígenes de la humanidad hasta el siglo XVIII. Este análisis, incluido en su monumental obra Origen, progresos y estado actual de toda la literatura, destaca por su modernidad y precisión, constituyendo, por tanto, una interesante base de comparación entre la visión de la ciencia astronómica del humanismo ilustrado y la que pervive en la actualidad.

[EN] The following pages attempt to offer a full view of the research into the history of astronomy made by Juan Andrés, from the beginning of human culture until the 18th century. This analysis, included in a broader work called Origen, progresos y estado de toda la literatura, stands out on account of its modern and precise ideas, thus representing an interesting knowledge base for comparing the view of astronomy during the Enlightenment with that of the present.
