Identidad y educación ciudadana en contextos a escala global

Abstract

[ES] Los maestros necesitan reestructurar sus conocimientos académicos de Ciencias Sociales para adecuarlos a las experiencias que los escolares aportan a las aulas desde su medio social y de esa forma aprovechar convenientemente la capacidad transformadora de la escuela. Por otra parte es preciso corregir por medio de la educación los problemas de las identidades excluyentes de raíz territorial. La emergencia de fenómenos globales y la superación del espacio-territorio por el espacio virtual, permiten intervenir para dotar de valores positivos a esos espacios y fenómenos que carecen de ellos. Este artículo propone incidir en la formación de una conciencia ciudadana global, partiendo de ciertas celebraciones de carácter internacional.

[EN] Teachers should reconstruct their academic knowledge of Social Sciences in order to adapt them to the experiences that the students brings to classes derived from their social environment, and in this, way to properly take advantage the schools transforming capacity. On the other hand, it is essential to address through education those problems arising from the concept of identities of an exclusive nature stemming from territorial causes. The emergence of global phenomena and the overcoming of territorial space by virtual space offers the possibility of intervention so as to provide positive values to those spaces and phenomena presently lacking them. This article aims to deal with the question of forming a global social conscience rooted in the celebration of certain events of an international character.
