Solutrense y Magdaleniense del Oeste de la Cornisa Cantábrica: dataciones C14 (calibradas) y marco cronológico

Abstract

[ES] La Cueva de Las Caldas (Oviedo, Norte de España) cuenta con 27 dataciones (14C convencional y AMS), recientemente calibradas a cronología solar. Esta extensa serie constituye un sólido marco de referencia para Solutrense y Magdaleniense, durante el período cronológico comprendido entre ca. 21 600 - 12 900 clBC. Los resultados obtenidos, confrontando los datos sedimentológicos, palinológicos y de cronología absoluta de diversos yacimientos, permiten establecer algunas hipótesis previas sobre las características del Tardiglaciar en la Cornisa Cantábrica-Pirineos. Asimismo, se discute la entidad de algunos Interestadios de la cronología continental (polínica), confrontándolos con los datos paleoclimáticos obtenidos en la secuencia del GISP2, y con las recientes correciones de fechas 14C BP. Los comienzos de la secuencia (Solutrense medio) coinciden en el tiempo con un episodio de inestabilidad, muy húmedo, que puede relacionarse con el IS2, bien marcado en la secuencia del GISP2. En cambio, el Solutrense superior se desarrolla en el Dryas Antiguo bajo unas condiciones ambientales muy frías y, en general, húmedas. La presencia de mamut y reno en estos niveles caracteriza un entorno de parque-estepa, frío y escasamente arbolado. Estas condiciones rigurosas se mantienen durante el Magdaleniense inferior y medio, hasta los inicios del ISl (Bólling-Alleród) y del Magdaleniense superior. Subsiste, sin embargo, el problema de establecer la cronología del comienzo del Bólling, que en la Cornisa Cantábrica pudiera ser más antiguo que en el Norte de Europa, a finales del Magdaleniense medio.

[EN] The Cave of Las Caldas (Oviedo, Northern Spain) has 27 datings (conventional 14C and AMS), recently calibrated at solar chronology. This extensive series constitutes a solid frame of reference for the Solutrean and Magdalenian, during the chronologícal period comprised between ca. 21600 - 12900 clBC. The results obtained by contrasting the sedimentological and palynological data and the data of absolute chronology of diverse deposits, makes it possible to establish some preliminary hypotheses on the characteristics of the Late Glacial Age of the Cantabrian-Pyrenees Coast. The entity of some Interstages of continental pollinic chronology is also discussed, contrasting them with the paleoclimatic data obtained in the GISP2 sequence and with the recent MC BP date corrections. The beginnings of the sequence (middle Solutrean) coincide in time with a very humid instability episode, which can be related to the IS2, well marked in the GISP2 sequence. However, the upper Solutrean developed in the ancient Dryas under very cold, and, in general, very humid environmental conditions. The presence of mammoths and reindeer in these levéis characterises a park-steppe environment, cold and with slight tree covering. These rigorous conditions were maintained during the lower and middle Magdalenian, until the beginning of the IS1 (Bólling-Alleród) and of the upper Magdalenian. However, there remains the problem of establishing the chronology of the beginning of the Bólling, which on the Cantabrian Coast could be older than in the North of Europe, at the end of the middle Magdalenian.
