Las pinturas rupestres de la «Cueva Grande de El Puntal» (El Centenillo, Jaén)

Abstract

[ES] Las pinturas rupestres esquemáticas de «Cueva Grande» en El Puntal (Baños de la Encina, Jaén), están situadas al Norte de esta provincia, en plena Sierra Morena. «Cueva Grande» es una cueva no muy profunda, cuyas características tipológicas más importantes pueden ser resumidas como sigue: 1.° Existencia de dos colores: rojo y negro. 2.° Una gran heterogeneidad en los temas representados. 3.° Se observa cierta influencia del área cultural del Bronce de Extremadura. 4.° No presenta claros paralelismos con el resto de las representaciones pictóricas de Sierra Morena. 5. ° Muy cerca del lugar donde se encuentran las pinturas existen restos arqueológicos correspondientes al Bronce I. Pero creemos que no tienen una relación directa con estas pinturas. En general, parece que es una representación bastante tardía, pudiendo tratarse de una fase cultural del Bronce Final.

[EN] In «Cueva Grande» (El Puntal, Baños de la Encina) that is a not very deep cave situated in the North of Jaén, in the center of Sierra Morena, there are some schematic cave paintings whose more important characteristics may be resumed as follows: 1.° The existence of the red and black colours. 2." A great heterogeneity in themes represented. Practically no theme is repeated. 3.° Statistically, at least, there is a great influence of the cultural area of the Bronze's Age of Extremadura. 4. ° Till the moment there haven ' t been found clear typologie parallels with the rest of Sierra Morena's paintings. 5." Nearly to the place where the paintings are, there are archaelogical remains that belong to the Bronze I. Nevertheless we don't believe they have a direct relation with these paintings, but with the ones situated in a place that is very near to the ones studied. In general, it seems to be a very late representation, may be situated in a cultural moment of the Final Bronze Age.
