Onomástica y sociedad en la epigrafía antigua de las provincias de Salamanca y Ávila

Abstract

[ES] El análisis de la onomástica antigua de las provincias de Salamanca y Avila muestra una sociedad introvertida, con escasos contactos con el entorno provincial y con el resto del Occidente del Imperio. Esta conclusión tal vez está condicionada por el carácter de las fuentes epigráficas pero todos los parámetros culturales señalan el predominante indigenismo de esta sociedad.

[EN] The analyse of the ancient onomastic in the provinces of Salamanca and Avila shows an inward-looking society, with fex contacts with the provincial environment and with the western part of the Empire. This conclusion is contioned, perhaps, on account of the characteristics of the epigraphy in the zone concerned but all the cultural parameters show the prevalent indigenism in this society.
