Abstract

[ES] En el presente artículo el autor critica la tendencia a la autoidentificación de la izquierda con el pensamiento utópico. Al mismo tiempo critica, a partir del análisis de M. Weber de la técnica y del progreso, la pretensión del neoliberalismo de ser la única opción instrumentalmente racional. En este sentido el autor plantea que la orientación del desarrollo y de la razón instrumental está condicionada causal y funcionalmente por las relaciones de poder político económico y cultural en las cuales se eligen y seleccionan las acciones y los fines de los hombres.

[EN] In this article, the author criticyzes the tendency to the autoidentification of the left with the utopic thought. At the same time, he also critycyzes, from the Weberian analysis of technic and progress, the neoliberal atempt to be the only rational instrumentally option. In this sense, the author poses thar the orientation of development and the instrumental ration is conditioned in its cause and function by the relations of political, economical and cultural power in which are selected the action and aims of men.
