Identidad y participación de la mujer en América Central

Abstract

[ES] En la primera parte del artículo, las autoras analizan los procesos sociopolíticos de la región desde una perspectiva de género. En la segunda parte, plantean las transformaciones de género en el contexto de la crisis y el aumento de la pobreza. Finalmente se señala que, si bien las mujeres centroamericanas manifiestan dificultades para organizarse y participar políticamente, tienen una gran capacidad para agruparse en la lucha contra la pobreza.

[EN] Firstly, the authors analyze the socio-political processes in the region, from a genre perspective.In a second part, they point out the transformations of genre in the context of crisis and increase of poverty.Finally, they argue that central-american women have great capacity to gather while fighting against poverty, apart from the difficulties they find to organize and participate in a political way.
